Much to report here about our visits to William Heritage Winery in Mullica Hill. Most are related to taking advantage of our membership benefits. The first, their quarterly allotment pickup, which we combined with our free flights. The second trip involved enjoying our free glasses of wine with our favorite dip and chips. We added to those pieces by utilizing their 30% off our one time purchase. The 30% off case purchase is pictured above. Finally, we joined friends at the Vino & Vibes Thursday and used another membership gift-a $10 off coupon for food from participating food truck vendors. We chose pulled pork sandwiches from Dom’s Tavern (good choice). June is William Heritage Members Appreciation Month here!
The Alottment
- Cabernet Franc Rose-Attractive salmon pink hue with strawberry and raspberry notes.
- Semillon-Very good, subtly oaked version, with citrus and apple and pear notes. Heritage is one of the only New Jersey producers of this overlooked and under-rated grape-perhaps the only one producing a single varietal from estate grown grapes.
- Pond Vineyard Chambourcin-My new favorite Chambourcin! Delicious, smooth, full-bodied version with notes of cherry, raspberry, and blackberry. Enjoyed a bottle of this one at the Vino & Vibes on Thursday.
Highlights From Our Free Flights
Our favorites from our flights included a few surprises.
2025 Saperavi Rose was definitely one of our surprises. First, I didn’t know they were growing Saperavi. While I look forward to the possible offering of a single varietal offering of Saperavi. My wife and I have enjoyed Saperavi in the Finger Lakes, but as of yet have not seen a New Jersey version. This Rose was very fragrant, but dry (though there was just a hint of sweetness). The color is darker than pictured on their website and offers tasty notes of strawberry, blackcherry and plum with bright acidity. Spaeravi’s birthplace is Georgia (the country, not the state). It’s been around for thousands of years. I love it!
2025 Semillon-See above description.
Free Glasses
My wife’s choice was their White Merlot, while I chose their 2024 Barrel Reserve Cab Franc. The White Merlot was terrific, offering a beautiful golden color and floral fragrance; smooth and silky texture with moderate acidity. The Cab Franc was also quite good, with medium plus body and notes of cherry and green bell pepper. They are both pictured below.
Vino & Vibes
Vino
2024 Reserve Gravel Block Vineyard Chardonnay-A terrific Chardonnay that is oaked, full-bodied, and very tasty. It highlights bright citrus (especially lemon) notes.
2022 Reserve Pond Vineyard Chambourcin-My new favorite Chambourcin, described above (pictured below on right).
And Vibes
Music provided by Tom Chirip, performing with partner, Dave Walsh as the NJ Duo, Back Creek. My apologies for blocking one of them due to the wood panels. They played their brand and mix of acoustic covers of artists like Neil Young and many others, as well as some originals, written by Tom. The music provided a soft soundtrack to a nice evening with friends and wine.

2024 BDX Blanc (2)
